SWEDISH MASSAGE

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

MYOFASCIAL MASSAGE

Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.

PRENATAL MASSAGE

Prenatal Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. This massage can be performed side lying or on our unique pregnancy table that allows our clients to safely lay face down. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

**We do not massage during the first trimester of pregnancy**

**12-24/27 weeks will lay on our massage table either face down (depends on the mother if she can safely do this) or side lying. Around 24/27 weeks, most women are able to lay face down on our pregnancy table that has a cut out with beautiful support for your growing belly. All depends on the comfort and safety of the mother and baby!

MYOFASCIAL CUPPING

Included in any session ($0) or can do a 15 min touch up in-between any sessions ($15)

Myofascial Cupping is a technique used to release fascial restrictions surrounding muscles and is great for general pain relief and increase of circulation

Benefits of Myofascial Cupping:

  • Breaks up scar tissue built up from previous injuries
  • Reduces localized inflammation and aids in recovery by increasing blood flow to the injured area
  • Puts a passive stretch on soft tissue
  • Reduces muscles tension

IASTM (BLADING)

Included in any session ($0) or can do a 15 min touch up in-between any sessions ($15)

IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) detects and treat fascial dysfunction by reducing adhesions and increasing healing rates of the targeted area. This is a great option to help resolve pain and tightness in the body.

IASTM instruments make it easier to detect and treat fascial dysfunction created by scars, restriction and adhesions.

BENEFITS OF IASTM:

  • Decreases overall time of treatment
  • Allows for faster rehabilitation/recovery
  • Helping to resolve chronic conditions

KINESIOLOGY TAPING

$5 small area / $10 large area and/or 2 or more small areas

Kinesiology Taping is used to support injured muscles and joints without restricting full range of motion. Relieving pain and reducing swelling and inflammation, it is a wonderful stand alone treatment or an excellent add on to massage to aid in all of these benefits. It also helps to aid in faster muscle recovery, prevents cramps or spasm, prevents over-stretching or over-contraction of muscles and also enhances muscle tone and strength.
